edited by Sergey Rumyantsev
The edited volume includes articles by researchers from the South Caucasus countries and Turkey. The authors saw their task in studying whether secondary school history textbooks were free (or not) from stereotypes towards “neighbors”. How contemporary socio-political and conflict contexts influence the representation of the history of relations with “neighbors” in the historical narrative. The authors focus on two-time points. On the events of the beginning of the 20th century – the first attempts to create national states in the South Caucasus region and the Ottoman Empire. And also, on the events of the disintegration of the USSR and the formation of modern independent states in the South Caucasus.
